CFREE Tip #2 EV Charging at Home

Are you thinking of having an EV charger installed at your home? Receive a rebate to lower your installation cost!
Eversource offers rebates to lower the installation cost for EV chargers. Most EV owners would qualify. The rebates are for up to $700 for single family homes, up to $1,700 for anyone on an Eversource discount rate living in a single-family home, and go up to $2,000 for multi-family homes in environmental justice communities. The site linked below lists six categories of rebates. You can also submit a rebate application from that site.
One glitch with the online application is that Eversource has not yet uploaded their new account numbers. Before applying, you will need to send an email to eversourcemaevsupport@clearesult.com with a copy of your latest Eversource electric bill that shows the new account number. They will add your account to their database and your account number will be recognized. The rest of the process is easy. Save money as you go green.
Note: Lincoln is fourth in Massachusetts in the percentage of EV and hybrid
vehicle registrations at 17.3%. We are doing well, and we can do even better.
CFREE (Carbon Free Residential – Everything Electric) is a subcommittee of the Lincoln Green Energy Committee (GEC). CFREE provides guidance on how households can reduce use of fossil fuels and decrease greenhouse gas emissions to help Massachusetts meet statewide emissions limits set for 2030, 2040, and 2050. It also provides information about state and federal incentives that help reduce the cost of such changes. For more information and other CFREE Tips visit: lincolngreenenergy.org.
